How to Play

A complete guide to the Cosmic Drop Plinko mechanic.

1. Pick a game mode

At the top of the game board you'll find three modes:

  • Moon Walk (Easy) — 8 rows of pegs, gentle multipliers from 0.5x up to 12x. Great for learning the physics.
  • Orbit (Medium) — 12 rows, multipliers from 0.4x up to 60x. The signature Cosmic Drop board.
  • Supernova (Hard) — 16 rows, multipliers from 0.2x in the middle to 500x at the edges. High variance.

2. Choose your bet

Each drop costs a number of virtual stars from your balance. Use the ½ and buttons to halve or double the current bet, or type a custom value (minimum 1 ★, maximum 10,000 ★).

Your balance is stored locally on your device. If you ever run out, hit the Reset to 1000 ★ button — it's free and unlimited.

3. Drop the star

Tap Drop. A glowing star spawns near the top of the board and falls under gravity, bouncing off pegs along the way. Each peg deflects the star left or right with a small amount of randomness — exactly like a real Plinko board, but with comet trails.

The star eventually settles into one of the multiplier slots at the bottom. Your bet is multiplied by that slot's value and added back to your balance.

Auto mode

Hit Auto ×10 to release ten stars in sequence, one every 0.35 seconds. Useful for stress-testing a strategy across many drops.

4. Where the rewards live

In every mode the highest multipliers are at the edges of the board, and the lowest multipliers (often below 1x) are in the centre. The further the star drifts from the middle, the bigger the potential payout — and the lower the probability of getting there.

5. Climb the leaderboard

The first time you drop, you'll be asked for a pilot name. Your star balance and best multiplier are tracked on the Cosmic Leaderboard. Different game modes are tracked separately.

Reminder

Cosmic Drop is a free entertainment app. All stars and multipliers are virtual. The game does not involve real money, real wagers, or real prizes — and never will.
